GCSE Photography

This one year course is open to Y10 and runs every Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 with two additional project days and several off-site visits for photoshoots.

Immersing themselves in photography enhances students’ creativity and imagination, and adds new perspectives to the way they look at the world. They are introduced to the basics of photography – composition, viewpoint, lighting, shutter speed, depth of field etc – and then work in the areas of landscape photography, portraiture, still life, close-up and studio photography, as well as computer manipulated photography and experimental imagery.

An exhibition of students’ work at the end of the school year celebrates their achievements.

We are very pleased to announce our 2018 GCSE results – of our 12 pupils 10 achieved a grade 9 and two a grade 7. Many congratulations to our 2017/2018 group
