Year 9 – Gothic Horror Stories

In Term 1 Year 9 studied Gothic Horror short stories and then crafted their own short story following the gothic conventions.  The term culminated in a celebration of their excellent writing with some chilling readings of the stories by candlelight.  All pupils produced some wonderful original writing – here are three excellent examples of where a short story can create tension and suspense – warning – do not read if you have a sensitive disposition.
